I am very proud to report that Acadian Ambulance’s Louisiana and Mississippi operations recently earned a perfect score in our recent reaccreditation review from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). The accreditation review, similar to the rigorous process used by hospitals and nursing facilities, is conducted every three years and includes an intensive application process and a multi-day on-site inspection by outside experts. Reviewers from across the nation visited our Louisiana and Mississippi service areas, including our newest operations area: Harrison County, MS. Our Texas operations were reaccredited by CAAS in 2022. CAAS was established to encourage, promote and recognize quality patient care in America’s medical transportation system. Accreditation signifies that an agency has met the industry’s highest standards, which often exceed state or local regulations. Acadian Ambulance has been CAAS-accredited since 1995. Our company is one of two ambulance services in Louisiana, one of two in Mississippi, one of 12 in Texas and one of approximately 170 in the nation to have earned CAAS accreditation.
